Stroop Effect Game

This Stroop Effect Game requires flexible thinking, selective attention and impulse control.

Help your kids be more mentally flexible, strengthen selective attention, and have better impulse control with this game based on the “Stroop Effect”.

A word that is written in the color red – but says “green” – has been shown to trick research subjects into thinking they are seeing “green” when asked what color they are seeing.

Players have to recognize there is more than one way to view information while they override the impulse to answer the “word” rather than the color.

Users are instructed to complete the cards quickly, but that accuracy is more important! See how long it takes them to get control of the knee-jerk reaction to click the word they’re seeing rather than the actual color.

This game is a perfect way to capture three different executive functioning skills in one!
