Use this auditory working memory/multi-step directions “Boom Card“* activity to help your students build those mental muscles while celebrating St. Patrick’s Day!

Players will practice listening skills, following directions, and strengthen working memory by lining up musicians for a St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Auditory cues prompt users to line up musicians and parade participants in the correct order, starting with one, then adding one at a time. The last card requires holding 9 things in memory before completing the task, so it can be very challenging for some! Practicing often will help players get farther into the game over time and build up confidence!

Students also practice visual attention, and the game also reinforces names of included instruments.
